Thinking of you....

So I needed a rush card this week for a sick friend and I didn't have much time to make one, so I updated an old one I still had. I needed a more mature and peaceful image for my card so I used this Penny Black Butterfly image called soft wings. I used a gold metallic ink to stamp and did some clear embossing over the top added extra flowers and pearls and there you go. The recipient loved it, she was in awe of all the detail, so I assume she has never received a card like this before. Have a great day.

Birthday Card

I can't believe it has been nearly 2 years since I have made a card. Life gets busy and there is always something that needs to be done. It is my daughters birthday today and so I decided it was time for my girls to get the homemade cards that they love. My new years resolution to use all my crafting goodies that I spent so much money on, it is ridiculous how much you accumulate, I may even have to sell some. Anyway, have a great day all.

A 2 Hour Card

My daughters boyfriend needed a birthday card for his mum and I said I would make one for him, well nothing like last minute, he needed the card for this morning. I had no time for colouring an image so I used my K & Co paper flowers, which is a 12x12 pad of die cut flowers and leaves. The sentiment is Stampin Up. I finished it at midnight, it is much prettier IRL.

Happy to be Crafting Again

Well finally back to crafting, so much has gone on since the passing of Lyndall. My mums partner became ill and they moved back to Sydney and are now living with us. We had to rennovate for this to happen and my crafting had been packed away for 3 years. We now have a large crafting room, which took forever to do and then to put everything in its place. My mum and I now do alot of crafting in this awesome room that my husband put together. I make cards, scrapbook and make jewellery as you all know and my mum quilts, so this is now a very busy room.
That's it for now, enjoy your day.

Lyndall..........The War Against Cancer, the war she lost.

Hi All

I just wanted to let you know that Lyndall Currie lost her battle with cancer in the early hours of December 5th, we are all deeply saddened by the loss of this truly remarkable lady. She inspired us with her strength and determination to beat this illness, and all while also trying to live a normal life and spend as much time with her family as possible. A life taken too soon,  she will never be forgotten and will always live in our hearts.

What's been happening over the last two months......

Hi all,my apologies for not being around, there is so much happening and as usual not enough hours in the day.Well a quick rundown I had 5 teeth removed....yep and......ouch a little sore.I got sick with sinus for nearly five weeks and could not go to the gym and then I got braces, yes you heard right braces.I had been thinking about braces for a few years, but never did anything about it,well my teenage daughter needs to get them so we decided to get them together, with a little push from my husband.Mine are already on and my daughter will get hers in around a week.I am still getting use to them and eating can be a little challenge at time, but I am sure it will all be worth it in the end.

During the school holidays we had my daughters friends surprise birthday party at our place and she was surprised.....lol.......she wasn't expecting a party to be at our place.I had about 20 people over and her mum and I made her a special One Direction cake, which of course is her favourite band. The cake took quite a few hours to make as we made the british flag completely out of fondant.........we all had a good time and the cake was a hit.

My last bit of news for now is that my friend and I have decided to sell our jewellery at a market,a new venture for us,maybe a little scary, but we are looking forward to it.So since I have been better,I have been trying to build my strength back up at the gym and trying to get a load of jewellery made for the market we will be attending at the end of this month. It is the annual Doll,Bear and craft show that is held at the Museum of Fire in Penrith and the dates 27th and 28th October 2012........so if you are going to be there come on over and say hello.Well must get some work done,I will leave you with photos of some of our jewellery.Hope to catch up with you all soon.
